Home of the largest planned development on Kauai; Princeville was created by coffee man R.C. Wyllie. In 1853 Wyllie started a coffee plantation on this very site. The plantation unfortunately failed, but is now home to the finest resorts, golf courses and restaurants. The three main beaches along the North Shore in relation to Princeville are Pu_u Poa, Kenomene Beach and Kaweonui Beach. These warm waters are known for their wide reefs creating pockets good for snorkeling and swimming. Aside from soaking up the sun, activities are endless. Golf, tennis, kayaking, sailing, hiking and helicopter tours are just a few to choose from. Princeville is ideally located on the north coast so that visitors can tour all area attractions. A scenic drive along highway 56 is bound to create memories. Hanalei Valley, Guava Farm, National Wildlife Refuge and Bird Sanctuary are just three of the many sights to see. Princeville offers world-class accommodations with modern amenities and breathtaking views. Visitors can arrange to stay at a bed and breakfast, hotel or resort. Restaurants are endless with diverse cuisine options. Making it the ideal location and vacation hot-spot, the once coffee plantation of Princeville offers beautiful beaches, landscapes and fun for all ages.
