From the H1 westbound, continue past the Makakilo exit and onward past the point where the H1 narrows into Farrington Hwy. Continue along Farrington Hwy to the Kahe Power Plant. Turn left and park along the roadside.

Description:
Named after a long time Waianae area resident Francis J. Manner the beach has a history of being used recreationally for many years. The uncrowded country beach is a part of the larger Kahe Beach area far from the more popular city and north shore beaches. There is really only one way to get there and it requires a 40 minute drive from Honolulu westbound on the H-1 past Aiea, Pearl City, Makakilo and Ewa exits. The freeway eventually narrows to become Farrington Highway and the city gives way to the country setting. The beach area is defined by the huge electric power plant located on the mauka or mountainside of the highway.

The nearby mountains are covered in dry vegetation along with several outcropping of dark lava rocks. The highway fronting the beach is very busy and traffic is known to fly by at speeds well exceeding the posted speed limits almost constantly.

The beach is smaller than most with water ranging from turquoise to deep azure blue. It is a very popular spot for diving, and in the morning, it is not uncommon so see several tour companies in organized dive groups in the area.. The beach also attracts a small number of shoreline fisherman who cast their lines in the mornings and are usually gone by noon.

Parking is plentiful but only available along the roadside. The nearest restroom facilities and access to the beach is along the shoreline from neighboring Tracks beach. There are no lifeguards and although the area is generally safe for swimming, caution should be used especially in the winter months when strong currents and large waves are almost ever present.
