Continue along Nimitz. The entrance to the restaurant will be on the left just past the K-Mart. Description: The more casual of Sam Choy’s wonderful Oahu restaurants, Breakfast, Lunch and Crab or BLC, was a rousing success from the day it opened in May 1997. The restaurant has been a popular location for family gatherings, special occasions for many years and it is the place to go for an awesome weekend brunch buffet. This restaurant features local flavors, island favorites and fresh fish and the portions or the quality are never compromised. The large restaurant is located in an industrial area near Honolulu Harbor and just a stones throw from the fresh fish markets. Parking is tight, but attentive valets make the close quarters workable and somehow make arriving at this busy restaurant a pleasure. The restaurant décor is simple and mostly functional with large splashes neon, shiny beer vats and of course the fishing boat. Named "The Bambucha" which is local slang for the biggest, the full size fishing boat is positioned strategically in the restaurant and offers a huge décor statement along with a great tribute to the local fisherman. The restaurant also features a brewery and brewmaster Dave Campbell works his magic in delivering great beer after great beer. Beer education and tours is also available for those who are interested in more than just what the cool libation can do for you on a sultry tropical day. But it’s the food that packs them in here. Bambucha portions, the freshest fish and lots of local favorites and more. Menu selections include Papa's Beef Stew Omelet, a variety of Loco Mocos, Kalua Pork Quesadilla a flavorful grilled flour tortilla filled with kalua pork, sautéed onions & cheese; topped with fresh salsa, sour cream & chilli BBQ sauce. The Moi-moi Saimin a bowl of noodles along with shrimp, teri beef, char siu, egg, spinach, kamaboko, crableg and green onions and o course, Sam's Original Fried Poke, wok seared marinated island fish.
