Description:
Everyone seems to find his or her way to this small restaurant in Chinatown. Think you’re the only one who’s been there, ask a friend and chances are that they have been there too. It’s not a huge place, it’s not trendy, it’s not fancy or a place where you brag about going to, but it’s a great place to get good dim sum and tasty Chinese dishes at a great prices.

Small and plain, the restaurant is located on the corner of North Pauahi and Smith St in a neighborhood where you should remember to lock your car doors and check it twice. The area regulars are a mixture of power lunchers from the nearby financial district, Asian women who love to lunch and other more questionable characters on the sidewalks who sometimes can’t seem to walk in a straight line. As colorful as the area may seem, the restaurant draws huge crowds for their special menu of dim sum lunch. Served from hot carts and wheeled around the tiny restaurant by neatly dressed staff, the little delicacies are flavorful and plentiful. Be sure to have the taro puffs, you’ll regret it forever if you don’t.

Dinner is also highly recommend, at least an early one to avoid the more colorful characters of the area. Dinner offers a great selection of Chinese dishes that include Beef Choy Sum Noodle, Sizzling Beef Platter, Ginger Chicken and more. The prices are reasonable, and the service is efficient and quick.

Parking here can be rough. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a metered stall on the street or around the corner or for a bit more opt the lot across the street where you can relax, eat and keep an eye on your car all at the same time.
