Description:
Hidden away in Kaimuki, Café Laufer is a traditional European bakery and coffee shop. With a large variety of delectable pastries, it’s easy to see why Café Laufer is so popular. But not to worry, Café Laufer is located in a bright open space, with plenty of seating available.

The café is not just all coffee and pastries. In addition to the delicious dessert menu, Café Laufer also has a vast lunch menu, consisting of both local food as well as some European dishes. For lunch consider trying the Chinese chicken salad, made with lettuce, chicken and plenty of crispy won ton. This is a dish that they are well-known for. The soups there are also very popular, and come in a delicious bread bowl making the soup an even more satisfying lunch option. Or you could try the popular Atlantic salmon platter, served with fresh bread and cream cheese. Just be sure to stay for dessert. The deliciously rich black forest gateau is made from scratch. If that doesn’t appeal, you’re almost certain to find something more to your tastes. With a vast array of scones, tortes and flans there is definitely something for everyone in this little café. And if you feel like you’re in Hawaii and thus should be eating something you can only get in Hawaii, they also make a wonderful macadamia nut pie.

With a nice selection of espresso-based coffees and desserts, Café Laufer is just the perfect place to leisurely while away an afternoon. And if you’re looking for a little time away from the hustle and bustle, to catch up with friends, you can’t really go wrong with Café Laufer.
