Description:
Sunny, hot and almost always breezy, this beach is located at the end of Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach. The remote country location affords the community almost exclusive use of the beach and almost guarantees the beach not to be over run by crowds or excessive traffic.

Once off the freeway and past the trappings of typical suburbia, it takes a drive past several stop lights, across the historical train tracks and onward past the old plantation village to the end of the road to find this small community beach across the street from the New Ewa Beach Golf Course. The beach is fronted by military installation on one side and a few beachfront vacation homes along with many older weathered homes in an old fishing village setting that has clearly seen better years. The rapid encroachment of nearby suburbia and numerous nearby housing developments is rapidly changing the landscape along with the way of life of this older community, but the beach remains to provide rejuvenation, relaxation and refreshment all who visit.

It not a very large beach, but it is a beach for area residents and it offers panoramic views of Diamond Head and downtown Honolulu along with sandy shores that offer adequate areas for sun bathers, walkers and waders. Waves are ever present and offshore rip currents are considered dangerous, so children are found playing along the shoreline instead of in deeper rougher water. Surfers are regularly seen catching waves along with shoreline fisherman who cast lines into the clear turquoise water. Although weekdays are relatively quiet, weekends will bring family gatherings, parties and fun in ways that only islanders can really understand.

Free parking is available at the nearby park along with restrooms, changing area, showers, picnic tables, a large pavilion, playground and more. The huge grassy area is perfect for picnicking and ball playing and drinking fountains are also readily available.
