Ewa Beach is a small village town located on the southern end of Oahu. This seldom crowded area is mainly inhabited by locals and Navy families. Known to get more sun than any other part of the island, the climate tends to be dry and warm year round. Visits to nearby beaches to cool off are a common activity among locals. When passing through, one will see housing developments, shopping and places to eat. There are no main attractions, but a nice place for those who want to settle into Hawaiian life. Just a short drive on highway 76, there is excitement of the larger cities on Oahu. If the relaxation on the beach or water activities of all kinds is not interesting, there are two golf courses and a water park minutes away. The ever famous Pearl Harbor is only a 20 minute access and downtown Honolulu is nearby. Finding unique places to eat is uncommon in Ewa Beach, unless the usual fast food or small dine-ins are what travelers are looking for. The area has fantastic mountain and ocean views and ideal for families who want to stop at the beach or visit the water park. What draws attention to Ewa Beach are the affordable housing costs and the friendly local atmosphere.
