Ali'i Beach Park is walking distance from shopping, eating and sightseeing in historic Haleiwa Town. Located next door to the harbor and just a couple of blocks drive off Kamehameha Highway this laid back beach park is a popular place with locals. You'll find families enjoying the large grassy areas playing horseshoes, volleyball and picnicking. There are two full length basketball courts and volleyball courts. There is also a playground area for children. It's a great place for birthday parties and celebrations. The beach is lined with beautiful palm trees, the sand is golden and the water is very inviting. It is situated so that it gets incredible views of both the sunrise and sunset, and is perfect for lounging in the sun, swimming, kayaking and surfing.

This beach is known for having some of the best surf on the island. Jet ski and surfboard rentals can be found nearby. Anyone entering the water should be aware of strong undercurrents that can cause dangerous conditions. Always read and obey lifeguard warning signs. The small eastern section of beach is protected by the harbor breakwater, making it a better location for inexperienced swimmers.

Ali'i Beach plays host to a number of surf competitions including the Woman's events in the Triple Crown. This event features the world's top female surfers as they compete for the Association of Surfing Professionals. Visitors from around the world come in hopes of witnessing surf synonymous with the names Waimea, Sunset, Pipeline and Haleiwa. In the wintertime on the North Shore of Oahu waves can measure up to 30-feet high!

Here you can watch the world's best surfers in action at one of the many special tournaments that help make the North Shore famous. The facilities have lifeguard towers and outside shower areas. There is a large parking lot with plenty of parking that is usually quite full on weekend and holidays. If you want a taste of what life is like in Hawaii you'll get a good example at this beach park!

Turn left off Kamehameha Highway onto Haleiwa Road (before the bridge) Ali'i Beach Park is on the right hand side after the Haleiwa harbor.
