Review

Set amid a unique collection of boutiques and other eateries this restaurant is one of the Ward Warehouse’s long time standards and offers a cozy casual atmosphere, reasonable prices and attentive service. It has been a favorite of island residents, young couples and families over many years and continues to be popular despite the many other newer restaurants in the area. Access is easy via a short ride up the escalator or the nearby parking lot elevator to this second floor restaurant. Once inside the atmosphere is filled with warm wood tones, subdued lighting and seating areas that are comfortable and spacious. The lighting is low and large windows frame the views of the tourist and fishing boats and the activity in and around the harbor across the street.

The menu has a wide selection of appetizers, salads, soups, steaks and seafood. The selections are simple and somewhat standard but all are prepared with perfection. The most popular items include coconut tiger prawns, warm bacon salad, braised beef short ribs and the highly recommended fresh island fish. The wine list is an impressive long list of favorite labels and popular vintages and will definitely not leave the serious wine lover in the lurch.

The restaurant sits amid a unique collection of boutiques and other eateries and it’s a pleasure after a satisfying meal to take the time to window shop along the walkways.

The parking at this complex can be a challenge especially during weekends and holidays where families, tourists and singles crowd the area to shop, see a movie or to meet friends and family. The parking structure is small and cramped, so opt for on-street parking if you’re lucky or valet service which is readily available for a nominal fee. Be sure to make your reservations in advance to avoid long waits at the door and ask for a window side table for the best seating. Don’t forget to stroll the boutique lined walkways for a bit of after dinner window shopping.

Directions

From the H1 freeway eastbound, exit at Kianu and turn right at War Avenue. Concinue past King and Kapiolani and turn left onto Ahua St. the entrance to Ward Warehouse will be on the right.

looking for a site for 40th birthday for my daughter. May 9th or 16 or 17th.
about 40 guest. Need set menue of 3-4
sandwiches/salads/drinks/cost per person and rm charge. Can we bring in a cake???How many hrs can we use the room?
