Waimanalo Beach , HI 96795

Bagley beach is located along the windward coast of Oahu, near the town of Waimanalo. It is one of the closest "secluded" beaches to Waikiki and has plenty to offer. Bagley beach features a beautiful long strip of white sand which is just the perfect thing for sunbathing or a romantic stroll. You can walk all the way to Waimanalo Beach or, if you go the other way, up to Bellows beach. The water at Bagley Beach is a beautiful aqua color with plenty of wave action, perfect for boogie boarders. In the distance, you can make out a variety of offshore islands, including rabbit island, and the Mokulua bird sanctuary islands. In addition, there is the majestic Koolau mountain range, all of which makes for stunning views. A woody area known as Sherwood Forest backs up the beach, providing plenty of shade, and a perfect area for camping or picnicking. In addition, if you are up for exploring the beach, you will find Puha Stream nearby, which is definitely worth a visit for a different but equally pretty type of water view.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this beach is just how quiet this beach can be. With an endless strip of sand there is plenty of beach for everyone. With full facilities nearby and lots of shady, wooded area, this beach is the closest you can get to a secluded beach near busy Honolulu, making it hard to beat.

From Honolulu, take H-1E until it turns into Kalanionaole Highway. Follow the coast road and turn in, at Waimanalo Bay Recreation Area.
