No trip to the Big Island is complete without a visit to Ken’s. I ate there twice in 2 days, because nothing here on Oahu compares to it. If you’re gonna eat in Hilo, you may as well go to Ken’s because you’re guaranteed good food and good service -- everyone in your group will be happy. The #34 Lup Cheong Omelet is my favorite and the hot pineapple upside down cake is the bomb. I also had the homemade corned beef hash – aaah, browned to perfection. Not to miss, I had to have their pancakes with coconut syrup. YUMMY! Ken’s is there to please their customers – it shows with the menu selection, the value for dollar, the pot of coffee (not just single refills), options if you don’t want rice or want to go healthy and the wonderful customer service. I wish I could fly to Hilo every month, just so I could visit Ken’s. http://kenshouseofpancakes-hilohi.com/ (Ken’s … please open one in Honolulu!)
